Hello all,

I’m struggling to use the Advanced Filtering feature in the Defect wizard.

I’d like to filter the Reasons by “contains” instead of “starts with.” Since changing the Search Type of the Reason entity to Contains didn’t affect the wizard, I’m trying another out-of-the-box approach using a query, but I can’t make it work.

Has anyone used Advanced Filtering before? If so, can you share how the query was built?

Thanks!

p.s.: here are the details of the test query I created - MES v11.3.1

Hi Amanda,

I think the problem is that one of the inputs is a parameter, and since there is no way to inject the parameter value in this screen, the query does not show up in the selection.

I am not aware of any way to inject a dynamic value for the parameter in this screen.

Thanks,
Ricardo

If there isn’t already an enhancement request, we should definetly create one.
Having the possibility to have input parameters here or even being able to add filters on the fly would greatly enhance the advanced filtering functionality in my view.

Hi Amanda,

I have tested and confirmed the information shared by @Ricardo_Cunha at the latest 11.3.x, and it is confirmed:

Without:

With:

My suggestion would be the same @maximilian_jung : Opening a ticket at the customer portal for an enhancement request to allow this option.

Best Regards,
