# Migrate IoT code from v8 to v10.2.11 process

Hi All,

Hope you are doing well!.

Need small help for issue.

We are migrating CM MES v8 code to CM MES v10.2.11.

To migrate IoT code, How We can migrate code to v10.2.11. Is there is any process/steps to follow the same.

Please assist, your help will be appreciated.

For IoT specifically you can take a look at [Package Layer Migration - Critical Manufacturing Developer Portal](https://developer.criticalmanufacturing.com/explore/guides/migration/general-process/package-layers/#iot-package-layer). Even though customization of iot in angular is still supported we advise you to try out the new solution where we replace the angular with just metadata [Automation Tasks Library - Critical Manufacturing Documentation Portal](https://help.criticalmanufacturing.com/11.3/userguide/automation/administration/automation-tasks-library/?h=automation+task+library)
