# Syntax for Format in ChecklistItem - Parameter

Hi,

This question was raised sometime ago and I am not sure what version you were using.

However, in the most recent versions the Format is supposed to work with jsonata expressions ([JSONata Documentation · JSONata](https://docs.jsonata.org/overview.html)).

You can find a bit more information in the [Help Portal](https://help.criticalmanufacturing.com/11.3/tutorials/modules/tasks-and-checklists/checklist/checklist_items/).

When using the system there is also some formatting tips to help you build the expression check this [section](https://help.criticalmanufacturing.com/11.3/tutorials/modules/tasks-and-checklists/checklist/checklist_items/#condition) within the tutorial linked previously.
