1. The Material entity has an attribute named **“SortRequired”** , and its property is marked as **“History Enabled: Yes.”**

2. The value of this material attribute was changed by the user.

3. The Material History lists the operation **“FullUpdateObject.”**

4. When clicking on this operation in the Material History, no details are displayed.

## **Why “FullUpdateObject” Shows No Details in Material History**

This is expected behavior, and it comes down to a subtle but important distinction in how history tracking works for attributes.

### **The Core Issue: “History Enabled” on an Attribute ≠ Tracking Its Value Changes**

The **“History Enabled: Yes”** property on an attribute (like **`SortRequired`** ) does **not** mean the system will record the _old and new values_ of that attribute when it changes.

What it actually controls is whether **the attribute itself is included in the history snapshot** of the parent entity — i.e., whether it participates in the history record at all.

The **delta (old value → new value)** that you see when drilling into a history operation is only shown for properties that are natively tracked at the **entity level** with full change-tracking support. For custom attributes updated via a generic operation like **`FullUpdateObject`** , the system records that the operation _occurred_, but **does not capture a property-level diff** to display.

### **Why “FullUpdateObject” Appears With No Details**

- **`FullUpdateObject`** is a generic update operation. When it fires, the history entry is created to log that the object was updated.
- However, since the change was made to an **attribute value** (not a core entity property), the system has no structured before/after delta to display in the details panel.
- The result: the operation appears in the history list, but clicking on it shows **no changes** — because no property-level diff was captured for that attribute’s value.

### **What You Can Do**

**Enable “Show Complete Record”** — In the History view, the default filter shows only _deltas_. Try enabling the **“Show Complete Record”** option in the history filters. This displays the full record snapshot rather than just the changes, which may surface the attribute value.

Hope this helps, otherwise, please open support ticket to get more insights.
