There are two types of connect iot customization packages, the angular packages and the automation task library packages. The first ones need to be compiled with the UI, the second ones have only nodejs code and the UI part is defined through metadata IoT Scaffolding - @criticalmanufacturing/cli Documentation. This means that for the first one when compiling the UI they should be part of the UI and show, for the second ones you have to import the package to the system. Of course, when you do a package installation this is done automatically.
If you are having issues with cmf pack, please show your package structure, or compare it against a new scaffold and also the cli version that you are using.
